Debt collector apparently using Facebook to track down debtors

May 5, 2009 by Todd Murray · Leave a Comment

The Consumerist has a post today about one debt collector that is apparently using Facebook to find and contact debtors. According to the article, a collection agency in Vancouver set up a Facebook account with a picture of an attractive female and used the account to track down debtors. Yet another reason to modify your Facebook privacy settings and be careful who you accept friend requests from.
